We provide anxiety therapy at our Scarborough clinic for children, teens, and adults. Many clients appreciate having a calm, welcoming space to explore their experiences and learn strategies that help them feel more grounded.

We also offer therapy for anxiety online using secure video sessions. This can be helpful if commuting is difficult, if you prefer accessing support from home, or if you live outside of the Greater Toronto Area.

Understanding anxiety more deeply

Anxiety can show up in many different ways. For some, it feels like constant worry about things that may or may not happen. For others, it shows up as physical discomfort, overwhelm, difficulty concentrating, or a sense of urgency that is hard to explain. Anxiety can also surface in quiet moments, often when people hope to feel most at ease.

Anxiety is a natural human response, but when it becomes persistent or begins to interfere with daily life, relationships, or wellbeing, therapy can help you understand what is happening and what might support you in feeling more grounded.

How we help you cope with anxiety

Therapy offers a supportive, grounding space to understand what you’re experiencing and build skills that help you move through anxiety with more ease.

We use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies and emotion-focused techniques. These approaches can help you:

• identify patterns that keep anxiety going
• understand how your thoughts, emotions and physical responses interact
• build strategies to reduce stress and overwhelm
• strengthen your ability to stay present during challenging moments
• develop self-compassion and a more supportive inner voice
• navigate school, work or relationship stress with greater confidence

Therapy with us moves at a pace that feels right for you. The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety entirely, but to help you understand it and respond in ways that feel supportive, manageable and aligned with what you need.

Fees & insurance

Therapy sessions start at $180/hour. Most extended health plans cover services provided by registered psychologists or social workers.

Who we support

When these experiences become frequent or difficult to manage on your own, anxiety therapy can help you understand why they are showing up and what may support you moving forward.

Children

Children may show anxiety through worries, sleep challenges, physical discomfort, school resistance, or strong emotional reactions. Therapy helps them make sense of their feelings, feel understood, and learn small skills that make everyday life feel more manageable.

Teens

Teens often feel anxiety around school expectations, friendships, identity, social pressure, or decisions about the future. Therapy gives them a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore what’s going on and build strategies that feel realistic, grounding, and empowering.

Adults

Adults may seek support for long-standing anxiety, work or caregiving stress, relationship challenges, or patterns that feel hard to shift. Therapy can help you understand why these experiences show up, deepen your self-awareness, and strengthen tools that support clarity and resilience.
