About Christal
I’m a Scarborough-raised mom of three and a registered psychologist who’s passionate about helping people feel supported and understood. I’ve built my practice here in Scarborough to make high-quality mental health care more accessible for families in our community.
I’m completing my doctoral studies at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), and I also hold a BA from York University and an M.Psy. from Adler Graduate Professional School.
I provide therapy and psychological assessments for children, teens, and adults with a range of emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges.

I take a person-centred, holistic approach because I believe no two people experience life the same way. What works for one person might not work for another, so I shape each session around your goals, your pace, and what feels most supportive to you.
To do that, I draw from several evidence-based approaches:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): helps you notice and shift unhelpful thought patterns so you can feel calmer and more in control.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): teaches skills for managing big emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress in healthier ways.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): focuses on accepting what’s outside your control and taking small, meaningful steps toward the life you want.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): deepens understanding and strengthens emotional connections in relationships.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): helps you recognize your strengths and build practical strategies for moving forward.
